Mastercard Student Credit Cards

Student Credit Cards With the MasterCard Branding

Applying for your first credit card, a student one in particular can be a rough process, because when you have no credit, you're going to find that it's going to be hard to get a card. If you're not going to college, you're going to find that the process is going to be even harder. Now, let's say that you're doing your search. You may want to look into a MasterCard branded card. Now, I want to ask you, why do you want to get a MasterCard branded card? What I have found in my search on cards is that there is really no difference between Discover, Visa, MasterCard, or anything else. What's going to matter in the long haul is what you're going to get in terms of rewards. Sure, you're going to want a card with a major logo, because if your card doesn't have a major logo, you will find that it won't be accepted at many places nationwide.

Is there any plus side to owning a MasterCard?

I can't really think of one, unless you're going to find that you can get a reward card with that logo on it. What I have found is that literally everyone accepts MasterCard. Sure, I have come across some companies that don't accept AMEX, and others, but it's quite rare. If you want your business to stay in business in today's economy, you will want to accept it.

What brands offer MasterCard?

Besides the obvious like Discover and AMEX, they rarely will have the MasterCard logo. There are some excpetions though, because I have seen these brands before that had the logo on it. What you're going to want to do is check into the following banks. The banks listed below are a few that you may find with the MasterCard branding...
  • Citi Bank
  • Chase
  • Capital One
  • Allied Bank
  • Orchard Bank
  • Bank of America
These are the main ones online and while your smaller banks may have the logo on it, it's not really going to matter. What's going to matter with these cards is that you get a card that's right for you. You want to find a card with great rewards, little to no fees, as well as rave reviews online. When you do your homework on credit, you will find that you can get nab a card that's going to work for you. Start searching online, and set aside the MasterCard mindset. There are a lot of great cards out there that you can take advantage of.
